The aim of this research was to determine the values of water-physical properties of soil, their deviation from optimal limits and variations of their values during the corn vegetation. In order to investigate the adduced hypothesis, field research and penetrometric resistance measurement were performed in the spring and autumn, as well as sample collection from genetic horizons in natural and disturbed shape. These samples were taken from different productive areas in Vojvodna and Stig (Serbia). Contemporary methods approved by National Society of Soil Science were used in laboratory analysis. The results of the research showed that in the examined productive areas of corn on chernozem in the period of spring-autumn appeared changes of the values of all examined water-physical properties.
