A preparation of effective microorganisms was used to correct metabolic disorders in cows infected with bovine leucosis virus. Before the experiment in the infected cows the content of total protein in blood serum was 6.02+-0.04 mg/l, in healthy cows it was - 6.45+-0.03 milli g/l. The activity of aspartate aminotransferase and alaninaminotransferase in the infected cows was by 55.3 and 60.2% higher, respectively, than in the control. The level of urea was 5.70+-21 milli mole/l in the infected cows and 6.62+-0.32 in healthy cows. Besides disorders of protein-nitrogen balance a disorder in urea-forming function of liver was detected in infected cows. During the experiment infected cows for 20 days in addition to the basic ration received a biopreparation EM-Kurunga based on 0.002 kg/head in a mixture with a grain concentrate. By the end of the experiment the content of total protein in the blood serum of infected cows increased by 8.3%, the activity of alaninaminotransferase grew by 18.2%, the activity of argenase – by 19.1%, the activity of aspartate aminotransferase also greatly grew. The content of urea in blood serum of infected cows increased by 16.5%, and the concentration of ammonia diminished by 20.5% compared to the onset of the experiment. It is concluded that the introduction in the ration of infected cows of EM-Kurunga promotes the normalization of protein-nitrogen metabolism and enhancing the urea-forming function of liver.
