New promising varieties of tea hybrids Yuzhanka, Nane, Fortuna, Vano, Pamyat, Druzhba and a clone Adlerskij were studied. The control one was the best released variety Gruzinskij 15. The rerearches were held in 2001-2007 at a collection and mother plantations of All-Russia Research and Development Instiute of Horticulture and Subtropical Crops. The results conserning phenology, tea biological productivity, yield structure and dynamics, mechanical and biochemical indices of tea leaves, plant habitus and blade area were presented. In 2007 the yield of all hybrids exceeded firstly the yield of the control variety Gruzinskij 15 (22 800 kg per ha). Tea yield dynamics was the follow: 22.1-31.6% in May, 14.6-22.0% in June, 25.9-39.9% in July, 10.0-20.5 in August, 5.7-8.5% in September. Tea raw material was characterized by low content of deferred shoots and tetraphyllous fleshes. The minimum number of normal fleshes was marked for the control variety (93.6%) and Vano hybrid (93.9%), the maximum one was done for the hybrids Nane and Yuzhanka (98.6%). The hybrids were notable for high weight of diphyllous and triphyllous fleshes (0.8-0.92 g) and the control meaning was 0.8 g. The hybrids were characterized by high quality of tea leaves. Extracted compound content varied from 41.64% (Adlerskij) to 44.16% (Vano), tannin content did from 24.5% (Pamyat) to 26.09% (Vano), the control one had the meanings of 42.18% and 25.31% respectively. The hybrids were well developed. Shrub height varied from 0.7 m (Nane ) to 0.97 m (Yuzhanka), the control one was 0.83 m. Shrub width differed from 0.84 m (Nane) to 1.09 m (Fortuna), the control one was 1 m. Blade area varied (in square centimeters) from 38.1 (Adlerskij) to 48.4 (Pamyat), the control one was 45.2. Profitability of tea leaf production composed from 63% (Fortuna) to 115% (Yuazhanka), the control one was 57%
