[Theory and practice of sea food usage at feeding of hens in the conditions of Amur Coastal Region]
2009
Sharvadze, R.L.
Seafoods (SF) (cucumaria, laminaria, arkshell) were explored for including in combined feed composition. Their effects on metabolism and productivity of hens were studied. Herd replacements and laying hens of a parent flock and of a commercial flock were tested during the experiments. Nutrient digestibility, chicken growth and development, egg performance of the layer hens, incubation egg qualities, blood chemical and morphological properties were determined. A technology of the SF production was developed to include them in combined feeds. SF introduction into the rations of parent flock hens increased egg performance and improved incubation egg qualities. Day-old chickens of the experimental group had weight exceeded the control meanings by 0.0021 kg. The complex additive (6% cucumaria, 6% laminaria and 2 % arkshell crumb) had a positive effect on growth and development of female chicks and cockerels. SF-containing compound feed use for hens gave a big economic profit of 0.2 ruble per a head daily
