We tested on 1500 broiler chickens of Ross 308 provenience devided in 5 groups with two repetition and three same types of feed in which was added the acidificant Salkem. Group A received (0.1 %), group B (0.2 %), group C (0.2 %; 0.1 %; 0.05 %), group D (0.2 %) a comparative rival product (PKP), and the group E without additive in the feed. The test was carried out in supervised microclimatic conditions and was an imitation of regular production of breeding on deep litter. On the 10 th day the highest body mass (p 0.05) was reached by the group A (246 g). On the next weighing at the age of 34 days the body masses of testing groups differed (p 0.05) from the control group which reached 1691g. At the end of the test the highest body mass reached the group C with 2.444 kg followed by the group B with the average body mass 2.425 and then the D group with 2.402 kg and then the group A with the reached body mass 2.391 kg; all stated groups characteristically differ (p 0.05) from the group E, which reached the average body mass 2.321 kg. From these results we can conclude that on one hand the gained production results are a reflection of biological and genetic capability of the animals and on the other hand also the effect of the tested additives, which the chickens got in the feed.
