On the strength of long-term evaluation of soil properties and characteristic from extensive set of soil pits from the whole territory of the Czech Republic and many terrain measurements, it was possible to present available soil water holding capacity on a map (in grids) with a relatively high accuracy (expected error approximately 30%). That makes possible more effective proposal of flood controls and facilitation of soil and landscape management.
