The effect of applied fertilization on the yielding and content of selected macroelements (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur) in spring wheat yield was assessed in a three-year field experiment. The experimental design covered: the soil without fertilization - 0, the soil fertilized with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium - NPK, the soil fertilized with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur supplied with ammonium sulphate - NPK+S(S) and the soil fertilized with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur supplied with Potafoska - NPK+S(P). The supplied nitrogen dose was 110.0 kg per ha. Phosphorus and potassium were used in equal doses on all objects (except the control), P dose 58.6 kg/ha as a single superphosphate and K dose of 120.0 kg/ha as 60% potassium salt.Only in the third year of the experiment sulphur fertilization of spring wheat (irrespective of the fertilizer applied) caused a significant increase in wheat grain yield in comparison with yields from the treatments receiving only nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.
