Sun-dried luecaena (LL) and ground air force-dried pod of rain tree (PRT) were used to study as protein supplements in Brahman cattle fed restriction of pangola hay as roughage. The results showed that whole tract of fiber digestibility and the estimated of microbial nitrogen flows from the rumen by using urinary purine derivatives excretion were significantly higher (P LT 0.05) in animal supplemented with PRT than those supplemented with LL. Thus, this study demonstrated that PRT was as a good protein supplement, and was suitable for self-sufficient economy in livestock production.
