Questionnaires and surveys data taken from 101 dairy farmers in Central, Northern, Northeastern and Southern parts of Thailand, which occurred in July through August, 2008, were used to study the situation of production and attitude for Production and Sire Selection of Dairy Farmers in Thailand using descriptive statistics and least square means comparison. The results revealed that dairy farmers in different regions had different experience and number of milking cows (P LT 0.05). Most dairy farmers educated from only primary school, had similar source of information, knowledge, and techniques. They also had similar farm management and problems. However, most farmers in all regions had not enough knowledge and chance to selection sires. Furthermore, most farmers did not satisfy price for raw milk yield at the study period, but they preferred to continue their dairy production. This information implied the need of increasing efficiency of dairy production, and also improvement of knowledge, understanding, and chance in sire selection of the farmers in Thailand.
