The growth and development of St. John's wort cultivated in hydroponic and soil conditions as well as the accumulation pecularities of artificial (90Sr, 137Cs) and natural(U) radionuclides in medicinal raw material were studied. It has been revealed that hydroponic biotechnology is more profitable radioecologically rather than soil cultivation. Irrespective of cultivation method the content of controlled artificial radionuclides in medicinal raw material does not exceed ACL.
