Investigation of seeds of wild growing sainfoin species of Armenia

The results of study on determination of habitat coordinates, morphological-biometrical pecularities and germination energy of seeds of 11 wild growing sainfoin species (Onobrychis Adans.)of 3 sections (Hymenobrychis DC, Heliobrychis Bunge and Onobrychis) are summarized in this paper. It was revealed that indicated sections and species significantly differ by all studied indices. Particularly, the representatives of Hymenobrychis and Heliobrychis sections are distinguished by higher morphological and biometrical parametrs and some spices of Onobrychis section (e.g. O.bungei, O.altissima, O.transcaucasica) differ according to seed germination power.
