During the 20032006 period a plot trial with 11 breeding winter oats lines with different characters has been conducted at the Experimental fiеld of the Institute of Agriculture Karnobat. The relationship between the effect of the meteorological conditions and some quality traits was investigated. Statistical difference was manifested using standard Dunav 1. The effect of the meteorological conditions on the expression of the protein and lysine content is significant and lower on the fat and the 1000 grain weight. Highly significant difference by grain protein content were found in line 66110 and higher lysine content in the lines 6654 and 6748. The greatest portion of difference for 1000 grain weight was established for lines 6194 and 6211.
