The aim of the study is to estimate the influence of the weed control and fertilization on the yield of rye and barley, grown on Haplic Vertisol. At the low degree of infestation of rye and barley, the highest effect on the yield of the two crops has the fertilization, followed by herbicide usage for the period of investigation. Rye has a high competitiveness to quantitative infestation with annual weeds with Nitrogen fertilization. For that reason, it is not necessary to use a herbicide mixture glin + toulurex for its cultivation in the studied doses. Barley is sensitive to the higher dose of lintur. In strong observing of agrotechnics by cultivation of these crops, highly competitive crops are obtained. In most of the cases, their yields are higher at untreated controls, compared to the treated.
