An outbreak of Classical swine fever (CSF) in wild boar population in Bulgaria in 2009 in game farm Karakuz was described. The disease has confirmed in six wild animals on the base of clinical signs, epizootological data, pathomorphological observations and convetional laboratory methods. Restricting measures against CSF have been provided in 3 and 10 km zones in above mentioned area according to Directive EU 2001/89 and National programme for Control and eradication of CSF. Virological and serological CSF surveillance have been started by investigations of blood sera and internal organs after the sanitary shooting to evaluate the distribution of the infection. The estimation of the immunity level in the vaccinated wild population and evaluation of the efficacy of the vaccination in wild boars were made by investigation of sera samples by ELISA.
