The aim of the study was to test the sensitivity and specificity of 3 standard serological methods used in diagnostics of Brucella melitensis infection in ovine and caprine. In the study also received false - positive reactions of brucellosis was interpreted. The comparison between Rose bengal test indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (I-ELISA) and complement fixation test was performed. The total number of analysed samples was 1393 - sera of small ruminants from different regions of the country. During studies we determined that the indirect ELISA is the most - sensitive of the 3 serological tests. The assay shows 100% sensitivity and 99.4% specificity. A combination of 3 standard tests by serological diagnostic of ovine and caprine brucellosis is sufficient to detect infected animals.
