Marchevo Village is located in a mountainous area in the western foot of the Rhodope Mountains - Municipality Garmen. Goes to the village Kanina River, which flows into the river Mesta. The purpose of this study was based on existing soil and climatic data to determine the suitability of land for the cultivation of potatoes in irrigated and dry conditions. Land evaluation is carried out in the Bulgarian system, but final results are adjusted to the recommendations of the FAO. For interpretation is used environment of GIS. Suitability classes are graphically presented and commented.
