The study was carried out during the 2002-2004 period in the experimental field of ESA Sredets. Subject of the experiment were the two-row barley varieties Obzor, Kamenica, Kaskadеr, Krami, Emon and Perun The aim of the study was to establish the productive capacity of 6 two-row varieties of barley grown under the specific agrometeorological conditions of Strandha area. It has been established that in the Strandzha region Obzor exceeded the average grain yield of the remaining varieties by 14%. With the least change of the 1000 weight is the Emon variety.
