Временные и пространственные изменения продукционно-деструкционных характеристик планктона на отрезке реки Свислочь, подверженном влиянию г. Минска

The comparison of plankton production-destruction characteristics on the urban section of the river Svisloch was conducted from April 2006 to December 2007. Speed of photosynthesis (Atax) and destruction (R) measured by a method of bottles in oxygen updating in stationary conditions at the light exposure close to optimum for photosynthesis of plankton, and temperature nearby 20 deg C in the summer and 15 deg C in the winter, biochemical oxygen demand 5 defined by a standard technique. Definition of indicators in stationary conditions allows to reveal distinctions of functional characteristics of plankton on separate sites of a river stream without dependence from short-term local variability of weather and other conditions at the moment of supervision. In 2007 was determined the significant decrease of organic matter production by autotrophic plankton and relative conservation of destruction parameters on the level of 2006 year. It may testify about the efficiency of self-purification processes in the river and about the decreasing of the secondary pollution level of watercourse as consequence
