Show more [+] Less [-]English. Yeast is not only one of the most important tools for researches on modern molecular biology, but also an ideal host for foreign gene expression. Here, we describe main systems of yeast expression and summarize the crucial factors that may affect the yeast-expression, such as the traits of foreign genes, the effects of promoters , copy number and stability of foreign genes and expression conditions, finally, we gave prospects on yeast-expression-system development.
