ACTIVIDAD ANTIFÚNGICA DE EXTRACTOS A PARTIR DE LA CORTEZA DE PINO CARIBE (PINUS CARIBAEA MORELET VAR. HONDURENSIS)

Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la influencia de ocho disolventes en la obtención de extractos bioactivos con actividad antifúngica a partir de la corteza de Pinus caribaea Morelet var. hondurensis Barret & Golfari, procedente de las plantaciones forestales del oriente venezolano. El extracto metanólico resultó adecuado en el control del crecimiento de dos especies de hongos xilófagos: Gloeophyllum trabeum y Trametes versicolor. El porcentaje de inhibición para el control del crecimiento de Gloeophyllum trabeum fue del 51,90%, mientras que para Trametes versicolor fue de l21,49%, lo que pone de manifiesto el potencial fungistático de ese extracto.

This paper has an objective to analyze the influence of eight solvents for obtaining bioactive extracts with antifungical activity from the bark of Pinus caribaea Morelet var. hondurensis Barret & Golfari, from the forest plantations of the Venezuelan east. The methanolic extract was sufficient for the control of growth two species of wood-decay fungi: Gloeophyllum trabeum and Trametes versicolor. The percent of inhibition for the control of growth Gloeophyllum trabeum was 51,90% ; while forthe case Trametes versicolor was 21,49%. This result obtained revealed the fungistatic potential of this extract.
