Spanish; Castilian. Con el objetivo de determinar la presencia de Trichomona gallinae (Rivolta, 1878) en palomas jóvenes y adultas se muestrearon 133 palomas provenientes de cuatro palomares. A estas aves se les realizó un exudado de buche con hisopos estériles, a los cuales se les adicionó 2 ml de solución salina fisiológica estéril hasta su observación al microscopio con objetivo 40 y aumento 400. Del total de palomas investigadas se encontraron positivas a Trichomona gallinae, veintiocho aves, lo que representó un 21.2% de positividad. El palomar presentó 84.8% de positividad, no así los restantes palomares, los cuales resultaron negativos.

One hundred thirty three pigeons belonging to four owners were sampled in order to determined the presence of Trichomona gallinae (Rivolta, 1878) in young and adult birds. Oral swabs were obtained from these birds by the adition of 2 ml of sterile saline solution to be observed by the microscope. 28 birds from all of the research anes were found positive to Trichomona gallinae (Rivolta, 1878), it means 21.2 percent. Pigeons belonging to the fourth owner showed 84,8 percent of positive result, while the rest of them were negative.
