Efecto del paraíso (Melia azedarach (L.) en polvo vegetal como insecticida sobre el gorgojo menor de los granos Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) en arroz

Spanish; Castilian. Se estudio el efecto que sobre el barrenador menor de los granos Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) causó el polvo molinazo de la planta paraíso Melia azedarach (L.). Se evalúo el tiempo letal de los insectos y la mortalidad de los mismos. Resultó que a partir del tratamiento de 40 por ciento de concentración de polvo de M. azedarach, en arroz, se logró una mortalidad del 100 por ciento de los insectos tratados. No hubo muertes en el testigo. El paraíso en polvo vegetal causó la muerte al 100 por ciento de los insectos de R. dominica en un tiempo inferior a las 72 horas. El tiempo en que se produjo el mayor número de muertes de insectos fue a las 68 horas.
