Ecological growing technology of sugar beet

Sugar beet and fodder beet have a tradition in the CR concerning production and use, so we do believe, that in future their production will extend to ecological farms. In this article we worked up literature data and our own research during 2005-007 with fodder and sugar beet. We present here experiences with weed regulation by stand organization change, line weeding and hoeing of fodder beet, cultivar Monro. In order to achieve earlier rows covering we verified reducing of interrows distance from 45 cm (three lines per plot) to 37,5 cm (four lines per plot).
