Analysis of growth and development of local eggplants, Solanum integrifolium L. planted at various seedling stages

Two field experiments conducted at Kumasi, Ghana, to study the effect of the age of transplants on growth, flowering and fruit set of two local cultivars of eggplant, VI and V2, showed that seedlings planted 4 weeks after pricking out not only grew faster but also flowered and set fruit earlier than those transplanted 5, 6 and 7 weeks after pricking out.
