The present investigation communicates the "modulatory effects of Ocimum sanctum on cyclophasphamide-induced immunosupression in rats. The ealed that Ocimum sanctum produced significant increase in total leukocyte count, per cent lymphocyte count, phocyte count, total proteins, globulins and total immunoglobulin concentrations. However, neutrophils, monocytes, serum albumin and albumin: globulin ratio decreased in treated groups as compared to normal and immunosuppressed rats. Lymphocyte stimulation test revealed significant increase in lymphocyte proliferation in rats administered with extract of the plant.
