The purpose of this plan is to describe the moth Species that occur in Iran that can become Significant beekeeping problems. we have found a number of moth species that can invade and attack the Honeybee Products. Injury by larve of these moths can result in Considerable economic Losses. The most important of them is Galleria mellonella. This presents the problem of Controlling moths without harming the bee. the moth life cycle consists of 4 stages, The egg, is Tiny females produce up to 400 egg each. the eggs hatch to the Larval stage in 5-8 days. new Larvae burrow into beeswax comb attempting to reach the comb midrib. In contrast to its name the wax moth dose Not Digst beewax in Capped Honey young Larve tunnel just below the Cappings. and makes them less attractive and salable. The third life stage is cocoon and them Hatch to change to adult atsge for control of wax moths we use physical, chemical and Biological methods 1- Physical methods - In the absence of bees we use Cooling and heating in Cooling method we use -20°c -12°c -7Oc +O°c +5°C +15oc in heating method we use +46°C and 49°c for 2 and 4 hours. 2- Chemical methods we use phosphine and paradichlorobenzyene also we Spraied Solutions of Contact insecticides and then drying cidial 0.008% Endosulfan 0.002%, Fenitrothion 0.001% clofentezine 0.01%, Thiodicarb 0.008% 3- Biological methods we use two serotype of Bacillus Thuringiensis BT 59 and BT 61 Also we use two commercial Powder of BT Sphericide and Bactospein conclusions physical and chemical methods can he used for controlling wax moth, after the bees have been Removed from combs and infested stmctures, Exposure to cold is the Best and probably the cheapest method Currently available, the most rapid pest control is obtained by deep freezing at - 17Oc, Except for varietes that Granulate on deep freezing, phosphine is very effective .B. T. its Effective but is use uneconomic Because we have to it from other countries.
