This paper is aimed to examine the performance of the farmers market, Saisaikiteya, established by Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. A questionnaire survey and hearing surveys are done to consumers, producers, and the market manager, for catching their response to the market. The results show that high evaluation to the market has been given by over half of consumers. However, further improvement is also required both in the quality and pricing of agricultural products, as well as the market management. Many consumers show their need for organically grown food products, which implies the possibility for developing organic farming. The results from the hearing surveys show that the farmers and market manager viewed have strong willingness to improve the quality of products and the market management. However, no positive response is gotten about the improvement in pricing of goods and the installation of the organic farm products corner. Based on the results mentioned-above, some proposals are suggested for the improvement in market management.
