Family partnerships and community support for child rearing and farming in rural area

This paper looks at how rural families share the responsibilities of child rearing and how these families are supported by local communities. The present ways of sharing housework, child rearing and farming duties were defined. In everyday life, rural women currently undertake a great variety of duties and roles, and especially desire the ability to balance time for work and time for their children. As a result, men are expected to increase their level of family involvement to assist with both housework and child care. In addition, women require further support from the local community for both child rearing and their farming.
