This study considered resident's evaluation-structure for irrigation-water-wheels (IWWs) from the view of various attributes at two areas where many IWWs are used. The study was designed to reveal the best method for utilization of IWWs as evaluated desirable. Analysis of the questionnaire data showed the following considerations. 1) Farmers evaluate IWWs as desirable because they are useful tools for irrigation. 2) Non-farmers assess IWWs, desirable because they contribute to good landscape and regionality. 3) Comparison by hometown showed that local residents feel familiar with IWWs whereas non-local residents feel they are beautiful. 4) All attributes focus on regionality. So it is important to consider the various attributes of the evaluation-structure before use of IWWs.
