Results of breeding value evaluation of Polish Red and Simmental bulls [Pt. 3]

In the 2008/3 evaluation the multi-trait Blup Animal Model was used for evaluation of the breeding values of sires and cows. In the Polish Holstein-Friesian, 22819 sires and 1352886 cows were evaluated based on 21124988 test yields of three lactations. 8178 sired had 10 or more daughters. The cows calved in 31115 herds and 1613113 herd-test day subclasses (HTD). The number of HTD subclasses decreased in the second lactation by 19 percent and in the third lactation by 35 percent
