Flood protection in middle delta of Nida river

In this paper hydroinformatical application HEC-RAS was used to simulate catastrophic flow event along the Nida river in the part of a middle delta. This area was partially meliorated in the 80's of XX century which caused despite numerous ecosystem losses also increase in flood danger for villages close to the Nida valley for catastrophic flood in autumn and spring taking into account different roughness coefficient of river bed and in the valley in those seasons
