Assessment of use of copper slag for tailing pond reclamation was examined. This material was mixed with flotation sediments. The influence of copper slag on the properties of obtained mixtures was analyzed. The main examined objectives were: granulometric composition (texture), water and air capacity, pH, salinity, content of macronutrients and heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn) concentration. Only insignificant correction of water and air properties and also increase of heavy metals content in the examined mixtures were contributed by copper slag addition
