The temporal variability of soil moisture content in the root zone were investigated on Haplic Glossudalfs, located on hill slope and developed from glacial till. Soil moisture measurements were performed using ceutron probe. Soil moisture data at unsaturated zone and depth of ground water level were collected every two of four weeks from 1992 to 2006. Temporal patterns of soil moisture content in the root zone were estimated by PCA (principal Component Analysis). Results showed strong temporal structure in the soil moisture across the root zone
