This paper is dealing with the examinations of the possibility of using inedible by-products obtained in the process of cattle slaughtering, as a very valuable raw material for industrial production of biofuel and for production of complete pet diet. Based on obtained results and data from literature regarding the chemical content of by-products of cattle slaughtering, it can be concluded that this raw material is suitable for the processing into protein ingredients for pet food and technical fat for production of biofuel. Chemical composition of examined bovine bones shows that fresh bones are a good medium for processing into a raw material for the production of gelatin and bone marrow for chemical industry.
