We compared the efficiency of two commercially available baits, one containing 0.005% bromadiolone and one containing 0.005% brodifacoum on wild capture house mouse Mus muscullus/domesticus. These anticoagulants were given orally, they inhibit blood coagulation in tissues and animals die because of internal bleeding. The preparations are in form of cereal wax pellets and were not equally effective against mice. Mice who were given bait with bromadiolone dies in the period of 4 days, but surviving was 62%, while mice that were given bait with brodifacoum all dies within of 3 days. Brodifacoum bait was much more effective against house mice.
