The aim of this paper is to point out great potential of Serbia abudant resources of biological control agents for control of various pests in agriculture, forestry and horticulture. For decades the authors of this paper, as well as other scientists from different research institutions, collected samples of beneficial organisms trophIcally related to various insects and plants. Insect pests were collected at various sites. Their natural enemies were produced and grown in the laboratory in order to investigate the bionomy. Both in the field and in the laboratories the efficiency of individual natural enemy species was estimated in relation to their reduction of the host populations.
