The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of agrocological conditions on the flower yield and the essential oil content of lavender. The trial was set up according to the randomised complete-block design in three locations in Serbia (Pancevo, Javor and Gorobilje) during 2007-2009 period. Based on the two factorial analysis of variance significant differences were determined over years of investigation, locations and the year-location interaction for the traits flower yield and essential oil of lavender. The highest average yield of flowers and essential oil of lavender was recorded in 2009 and significantly higher than the yields recorded in 2007 and 2008. Furthermore, the average yield of lavended flower and oil obtained in Pancevo was higher than yields obtained in Gorobilje and Javor.
