Four cultivars of two-row winter barley, including Record, Jagodinac, Crystal and Premium, were selected for an analysis of spike number per square meter, grain number and grain weight per spike. The experiment was conducted in 2008/2009 as an on-field trial in three replications on pseudogley soil at the Secondary School of Agriculture, Kraljevo (Serbia). There were significant differences between the mean values obtained for the traits analysed. Grain number was highets and grain weight per spike lowest in cv. Record under NP1K+CaCO3+manure treatment, as opposed to cvs. Jagodinac, Crystal and Premium producing highest grain weight per spike.
