The effect of paragenetic factors on 4% FCM yield in complete and standard lactations was studied in 143 Simmental cows. Lactation number, calving season and age at first conception were evaluated for their effect on the trait. The mathematical and statistical analysis of the data obtained, i.e. least square means, variance components and regression coefficients, were calculated using the General Linear Model procedure. The general mean for 4% FCM yield in complete and standard lactation was 4330 and 4092 kg, respectively. The effects of lactation group and calving season on the trait were very highly significant (P is less than 0.001). Age at first conception, calculated through coefficients of linear regression, produced a significant (P is less than 0.05) and non-significant effect on 4% FCM yield in complete and standard lactations, respectively.
