An economic analysis of the profitability of chicken meat production in a feedlot of about 600 square meter in size, with 5.5 - 6 turns during one year, each of the turns comprising approximately 42 days, has been conducted. The flock size is 10 500 pieces. The principal intention is to determine the efficiency of this kind of production with particular reference to the expenses (economy as a partial indicator of efficiency) and to put it in a relation with the achieved income. It has been established that the profitability is possible if there is a huge number of units in a turns with the repetition of production for about six times a year. The reason for this lies in big oscillations in the price of input in the form of necessary intermediate goods and output. The results are presented in the form of tables and charts.
