In conclusion: The results show that a low protein diet can be fed for the first two weeks of production whereafter the protein inclusion level has to be increased. Although no signficant differences between treatment T1, T2, and T3 were found, it is important to consider that the incidence of ascites increases when protein inclusion increases. Thus it is imporant to look at this situation economically to find optimum production.
