Zingel (Zingel zingel L.) is a species of the Persidae family (Pisces, Osteichthyes). The species is assigned to rarely occurring endemics of Southeast European watercourses, The zingel conservation status in Serbia is designated as Lower Risk - Near Threatened LR(nt) but it may be transferred to a higher category.
