[Changing the soil salinization of solonetz complexes Yergeney as a result of long anthropogenic impact (study of RAS Arshan-Zelmensky station)]

The study of the influence of long (more than 50 years) anthropogenic impact (forests, agricultural management, cultural and ameliorative actions) on changing the level of soil salinization of colonetz complexes in Kalmykia. Archive and published materials were generalized. Reconnaissance survey was conducted. Key plots were established. A set of ameliorative actions promoted the accumulation of productive moisture in a soil layer 0-200 cm and reducing the content of freely soluble salts in upper 1-1.4 cm for the first 6-10 years of the survey. There was no complete desalinization of soil profile. The anthropogenic impact of 55 years resulted in great changing the salt composition of solonetzic soils: moisture accumulation as a sequence of the actions conducted and growing forest belts promoted desalinization of 85-90 cm soil layer and reducing the content of freely soluble salts in a 90-220 cm layer. The salinization chemistry has changed greatly to. Sodium hydrocarbonate and sodium sulfate became predominated. Sodium chlorides were brought out of the depth of 250-300 cm. long using solonetzic soils also promoted changing the salt composition of soils, there was practically complete desalinization of a 90-cm layer. The salinization chemistry of higher horizons became sodium hydrocarbonate and sodium sulfate. Annual tillage of arable layer, moisture accumulation actions and forest belts promoted desalinization of higher horizons. The study showed the continuation of ameliorative process; the arable layer is fully being desalinized.
