Effect of some probiotic preparations on pathogene mycobateria

The method has been developed to study an antagonistic action of probiotics of lactobacterin and okarin on pathogenic tuberculosis bacteria using cultural filtrates obtained after combined cultivation of one of the probiotics and antagonist strain in a fluid medium. Active production of bactericidal substances against mycobacteria by the two probiotics is shown only in the presence of strains antagonists of mycobacteria. The work involved Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Academia), M. bovis (Ravenal, BCG) and M. avium (GISK). Sowing the two probiotoics on Soton's medium and BEB detected the growth good enough to compare it with the suspension thickness. When sowing mycobacteria in BEB, the ability to grow on solid egg media gradually fell and by day 10 there was no growth or the growth of 1-3 colonies was observed. The viability of 4 strains on a Soton's medium declined during 10 days to a less degree, however, the growth of strains was observed neither in the depth of medium nor on the surface in the form of a film. When studying the bactericidal activity of 3 series of cultural filtrates it was found, that series 1 and 2 had no effect on the growth rate or number of colonies of mycobacteria during cultivation on to media, while the filtrates of series 3 greatly influenced on the number of colonies grown reducing their number 2-17 times. Mycobacteria growth blocking indices were calculated for every cultural filtrate. The study of influence of storage life of filtrates of series 3 at t+4 degree C has found their activity for 1 year (observation period). It is supposed that bacteriocines or colicines acting against mycobateria are produced in a Soton's medium with lactobacterin and okarin only in the presence of strains – antagonists of mycobacteria
