The technology of mass breeding pf bedbug Orius laevigatus (agnt of biological control of thrips) on a new substrate to lay eggs resulted in reducing reproductive parameters of the predator. For successive use of the new technology, the laboratory population of O. laevigatus was improved by fertility. The method of independent selection levels was used to perform experiments of breeding Orius. Individuals with improves parameters were selected for 5 generations. By 5 generation the population of Orius adapted to the new conditions. As a result, the fertility increased 4.25 times. Testing the breeding line of O. laevigatus on Syngonium podophyllum plants in control of tobacco thrips has shown that during breeding the entomophage reduced the number of the pest more effective than the laboratory population. Thus, using the breeding line of Orius allows obtaining the stable protective effect 3-4 weeks earlier compared to the effects of the laboratory population
