Introduced LC/MS/MS method has replaced not enough sensitive confirmation GC/MS methods for monitoring of residues of clenbuterol and salbutamol by markedly more sensitive technique in compliance with EU requirements, as well as it has extended spectrum of confirmation methods for determination of beta-agonists by another analyts of above mentioned group, as well as by another matrix – milk and has enabled screening and confirmation of problem beta-agonists, such as ractopamin, zilpaterol, terbutalin, cimaterol and salbutamol. Complete validation of developed method is at level of European Community standards and in compliance with Commision Decision 2002/657/EC. Accreditation of laboratory according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, as well as careful performance of elaborated system of quality, ensures accuracy and trueness of laboratory results what is extremely important from the view of laboratory diagnostics and by that also from the point of view food safety.
