This paper deals with evaluation of the wood chipping process from the energy consumption point of view. The chipper machine is characteristics with very high energy consumption. There are many factors which influence the result of chipping process; these influence the whole process as well. Determination of input power was the main purpose of this study. Furthermore, comparison of revolution frequency of tractor PTO shaft with respect to torque magnitude depending on variable parameters of wood chipping process.
