Actual state and development of macronutrients (P, K, Mg) on agricultural soils of Slovakia have been evaluated in this contribution. Actual results are based on soil monitoring system in Slovakia and agrochemical testing of agricultural soils as well. It was found that content of available phosphorus in agricultural soils is deficient where the area of arable land with low to sufficient supply of this element includes 2/3 of agricultural land of Slovakia with need of systematic fertilisation. In addition, phosphorus supply of agricultural soils of Slovakia is getting to the level of the 60th years of last century. Supply of potassium in agricultural soils is better opposite phosphorus, what is caused by mineralogical composition of soils relatively rich in potassium. On the basis of results of monitoring system in Slovakia, we have found out decrease of available potassium in agricultural soils by 20-30% since 1993. Content of available magnesium in agricultural soils is mostly medium to high except acid to very acid soils (podzols) where magnesium content is low.
