To determine the effect of some growth regulators on storage ability of Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Mar.) on-tree, gibberellic acid (GA3, 10 ppm) was applied once or twice and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D, 16 ppm) once before harvest in a grower's orchard in Ege Region, Selcuk. The first GA3 application was made before color break (October 15) and second was applied with 2, 4-D after color formation. First harvest was made at the usual of fruit harvest season. Fruit were further harvested for three times with one month intervals. The fruit harvested at the first harvest date were stored in cold storage room at 5±0.5°C and at 90-95% relative humidity as a control of on-tree storage. The quality parameters were examined on fruit taken from cold storage room and from those harvested at each harvest date. The fruit-drop was calculated starting with the second harvest. Some quality parameters, including puffiness, were inhibited on trees treated twice with GA3. On trees treated with GA3 (twice) and 2, 4 D, the fruit-drop was inhibited.

Bazı büyüme düzenleyicilerinin Ege Bölgesi'nde Satsuma mandarinin (Citrus unshiu Mar.) ağaç üzerinde depolanabilirliğine etkisini belirlemek için Selçuk ilçesinde bir üretici bahçesinde hasat öncesi giberrellik asit (GA3, 10 ppm) bir ve iki kez, 2,4-diklorefenoksi asetik asit (2,4-D, 16 ppm) ise bir kez uygulanmıştır. İlk hasat normal hasat zamanında yapılmış ve bundan sonra birer ay aralıklarla 3 hasat daha yapılmıştır. İlk hasatta uygulama yapılmayan ağaçlardan alınan meyveler 5±0.5°C'de %90-95 oransal nemde muhafazaya alınmıştır. Her dönemde hasat edilen ve depodan çıkarılan meyvelerde değişik kalite parametreleri incelenmiştir. Yine 2. hasattan başlayarak dökülen meyve oranları belirlenmiştir. Puflaşma dahil bazı kalite kayıpları 2 kez GA3 uygulanan ağaçlarda önemli ölçüde engellenmiştir. 2,4-D ve 2 kez GA3 uygulamaları dökümleri önemli derecede azaltmıştır.
