English. It was determined that tomato rust mite started to cause damage on tomato in mid-August in 2001 growing period in tomato production areas of Tokat. Infested tomato plants with tomato russet mite reached to 91% in September. Solanum nigrum L. is one of the weed hosts of tomato russet mite. Survey results showed that tomato russet mite was also found on S. nigrum in the tomato fields. In 2002 growing period, survey was repeated in tomato fields in Tokat province but rust mite did not develop population causing damage. Tomato rust mite should be monitored in tomato growing areas of Tokat every year.

Tokat ili domates üretim alanlarında 2001 yılı yaz döneminde yapılan sürvey çalışmalarında ağustos ayı ortalarında, domates pas akarının tarlalarda zarar oluşturmaya başladığı tespit edilmiştir. Eylül döneminde ise zarar daha da artmış domates pas akarı ile ortalama bulaşıklık oranı % 91 olmuştur. Köpek üzümü (Solanum nigrum L.) bu zararlının yabancı ot konukçuları arasındadır. Sürvey yapılan alanlardan toplanan örneklerde köpek üzümü yapraklarında domates pas akarı belirlenmiştir. Domates ekim alanlarında, bu zararlıya 2002 yılında rastlanmamıştır. Bununla birlikte Tokat domates üretim alanlarında pas akarı popülasyon değişiminin her yıl takip edilmesi gerekmektedir.
